Drawing inspiration from the majestic shapes and natural textures of the UAE’s iconic palm tree, Designed by Hind has created the ‘ Safeefah’ collection. A set of delicate, fine porcelain that symbolizes the important role the palm plays in the preservation, protection and utilization of the country’s natural desert environment.

For this collection, nine crafts women from the Bidwa Social Development Programmer created Al ‘Safeefah’, the centuries old Emirati craft of weaving palm fronds, to showcase the nations culture and traditional arts.

Bidwa an initiative within Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council, it seeks to modernize and develop the crafts to a wider global audience and empower Emirati craftswomen.
